Helga Batman-Koplin is an award winning artist residing in Lake Arrowhead, California. She studied oil painting in the impressionist manner and design with noted California arists Hal Reed, Joseph Mendez, Kanya Bugreyev, Ted Goershner, Michael Situ, Ken Auster, and William Scott Jennings. Joseph Mendez and Kanya Bugreyev studied with Sergei Bongart. She majored in art at Cypress College and California State University at Long Beach. Helga also became proficient in the use of other media such as watercolor and acrylic. Her work has been purchased by many corporate and private collectors, including the Lake Arrowhead Country Club, UCLA Conference Center in Lake Arrowhead, California, Redlands Community Hospital, and the County of San Bernardino, California.
She is a member of the "Plein Air Artists of Riverside," the "Mountain Arts Network," and the "National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society." Helga exhibits her work at the Mountain Arts Gallery in Lake Arrowhead Village, Artisan's Etc., in Big Bear Lake, Timberline in the Glen in Cedar Glen, and Cedar Station in Cedar Glen, California. From 2003-2007 She exhibited her work at the "Art-A-Fair" in the Laguna Beach art festival, and in 2009 she had one piece of art shown in the "Best of America 2009."
Helga currently teaches all levels of students in oil and acrylic mediums through the Mountain Arts Network Community Center in Lake Arrowhead Village, California.
